Acting Associate Vice President for Development, Alumni Relations, and Campaigns
Job Summary: The Office of Institutional Advancement seeks an Acting Associate Vice President for Development, Alumni Relations, and Campaigns to be responsible for the strategic leadership, direction and management of the Development, Alumni Relations, and Campaign operations on behalf of Roosevelt University. Working with the Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement, deans, staff and faculty, the Acting Associate Vice President is responsible for strengthening a culture of philanthropy at Roosevelt, and building capacity in each area while achieving short-term goals. The Acting Associate Vice President will plan, direct, and lead the core revenue generating units in Institutional Advancement to meet the annual giving goals and objectives within the comprehensive campaign. The Acting Associate Vice President must have excellent leadership, managerial and time management skills in order to balance the demands of the core areas within the Office of Institutional Advancement. This position is located on the Chicago Campus and reports to the Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Chief Advancement Officer.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Earned Bachelor's Degree. At least 5 years of experience in highly productive fundraising. Familiarity with and use of a fundraising database system such as Raiser's Edge is required. Proven ability to manage professional development staff and experience in higher education is required. Career track record that shows stability with an organization, skill at organizing a team effort, strategic leadership, analytical skills, and the capacity to produce under pressure. Strategic thinking and orientation, ability to deal with emergent issues, multiple projects and constituents, simultaneously. Creative, energetic and clear communicator with an ability to increase efficiencies in complex annual giving and alumni relations operations. Proven expertise in event planning and management. Previous experience with direct mail production. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to serve as a spokesperson for the University. Demonstrated ability to set and achieve or exceed goals and meet deadlines. Enthusiasm, drive, motivational ability, and willingness to take calculated risks. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with and use of social media networks is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned Master's Degree is preferred.
