Position Summary: The successful candidate will compile, prepare, review, evaluate, research, and record information as it pertains to the processing and recording of gifts, pledges, and memberships to Michigan State University; will make daily decisions regarding proper recording and disbursement of gift monies; independently communicates with university personnel and donors regarding IRS regulations and university policies as they relate to charitable contributions for non-profit organizations.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; specialized training such as that acquired in one year of data processing, keypunching, or database entry; six months of related work experience in data processing, key entry, or database entry; experience with spreadsheet and/or word processing software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm): 65 WPM

Desired Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills and attitude; interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills; strong ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently; detail oriented, self-directed individual, and ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities and manage under pressure; ability to handle confidential material with complete discretion; ability to provide exceptional customer service; willingness and ability to take initiative, be flexible, learn quickly, and function as a member of a team with common goal of site success; ability to work independently, consistently, and accurately; ability to discreetly handle confidential student, staff, and faculty information; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access software.
