Position Summary: Provides support for the infrastructure and user systems in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) as part of the Computer Systems and Services group; this position's primary responsibility will be to support the hardware, software, and communications for CVM, including the teaching hospital and diagnostic lab; will assist other CSS staff in the areas of the CVM infrastructure support including VMware, Citrix, network support (server hardware, Windows Server, SAN, security, communications), application delivery, enterprise faxing, and user support.

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one to three years of related work experience in supporting a technology infrastructure, focusing on Exchange 2013 and email infrastructure relating to spam filtering/troubleshooting network issues; experience in Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012; experience with setup and support hardware; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills; should be comfortable and enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals; experience with system backup (ComVault), Windows 7, mobile devices, Citrix, and experience with desktop hardware and software including troubleshooting and fixing hardware and software issues; writing scripts, and fax server (FaxCom).
