Office of Financial Aid
Responsible for providing counseling services on Student Financial Aid: Provides counseling to students, parents, university staff and others on the Financial Aid processes and awards, via the information desk, telephone, email and workshops. Advises if additional information is necessary to facilitate the evaluating and awarding process. Analyzes and evaluates student financial aid data on file to determine if file is complete. Researches, corrects and determines award amounts.
A high school diploma or equivalency and two years relevant experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years. Excellent verbal and written skills as well as customer service experience. Computer experience to include Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines. Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Previous experience working in an office setting and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of financial aid resources available to students and skilled in public speaking.
Anticipated Salary Range
This position will be filled at the Annual Salary of $20,780.75.
Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
