Position Information:
**The budgeted hiring range for this position is $18.82-$21.53 hourly.**

The Residential Technical Coordinator (RTC) will coordinate the Residential Technical Services computer related tasks requiring knowledge of computer system methods. Duties to include but not limited to providing technical assistance to residential computer labs, gaming lounges and media set-up for all HDRS meeting spaces. Serves as a resource for technical and media needs, setting up, operating and tearing down media events, monitoring computer labs, gaming lounges and media equipment and maintains inventory of all equipment. Assesses equipment needs for imaging updates and equipment replacement.

The Resident Services Offices serves as a resource center for each complex in the delivery of many services and providing answers to student questions. The RSO makes every effort to provide the highest level of customer service to meet our students needs.

UCR's Housing, Dining & Residential Services (HDRS) is one of the campuses largest units, providing housing to about 30% of our students, dining for entire campus in residential and retail facilities, programming and support through a robust residential life program, conferencing and catering services, and child development care to our faculty, staff and students. HDRS employs 450 career employees and over 800 student employees. HDRS departments include Assignments & Accounts, Business & Financial Services, Capital Programs, Catering Services, Child Development, Conference Services, Dining Services, Information Technologies, Marketing, Operations and Residential Life. HDRS reports to the Division of Student Affairs.
Minimum Requirements:
1. BA/BS with a minimum of one (1) year of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

2. Knowledge of PC, software, web-related applications and media equipment.

3. Ability to manage software systems, including databases.

4. Ability to troubleshoot computer, printer and media equipment installation.

5. Advanced ability and demonstrated skill in proficiently using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook or comparable software for word processing, maintaining databases, creating spreadsheets and preparing reports. Experience with query tools to extract data from systems.

6. Experience with low dollar value purchasing processes and automated purchasing systems and strong math skills.

7. Knowledge to recognize problems and skill to develop logical solutions in order to coordinate with various individuals as required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workflow while meeting multiple deadlines.

8. Demonstrated skill to effectively communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner and to establish good working relationships with co-workers and campus contacts.

9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to student and staff issues. Proven ability to show sensitivity to the needs of students of diverse social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds

10. Hired applicant must possess a valid California Driver's License and must successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in business, computer science or related field.

2. Advanced computer proficiency.

3. Experience using campus on-line systems such as: Student Information System (SIS) and Housing Management System (HMS).

4. Completion of campus purchasing assistants training program.

5. Experience working at an institution of higher education.

6. Proven ability to implement UCR Housing Policies and Procedures.
