Under the direction of the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, the clinician hired for this position is responsible to provide the following  services for University students: mental health intake evaluations; triage evaluations; individual, couples, family and group mental health psychotherapy; treatment planning; crisis intervention; referral services; psychological testing evaluations (if psychologist) and, as designated by the director (if applicant possesses appropriate licensure), supervision of staff and/or graduate trainees. It is preferred that the clinician has familiarity and demonstrated experience and competence in several empirically - supported treatment approaches and modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing .  It is also preferred that the clinician has experience with electronic medical records in documentation of clinical services.  This clinician works with university staff and Student Life staff across the following areas: the Academic Success Center, Student Health Center (SHC), Residential Learning and University Housing (RLUH), Community Standards and Commuter Services, EOF/MAP, Campus Recreation and Student Center, and community agencies to assist or lead the development and delivery of relevant programs, presentations, and events. The clinician may be responsible for services to the Glassboro, Camden and Stratford Campuses. The clinician provides services that adhere to all rules and regulations and policies and procedures that relate to provision and documentation of clinical services.

Must be available to provide 24/7 on-call crisis intervention service when scheduled. Must be available to work evenings and weekends when scheduled.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  A Masters Degree in mental healthcare field.

 

Experience:  Clinical experience required in a mental health outpatient setting, preferably on a college counseling center environment performing intake evaluations; individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy. 

 

Licensures/Certifications:  In the State of New Jersey: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Associate Counselor or Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist.
