ASSISTANT MEN¿S AND WOMEN¿S SWIMMING COACH (SPECIALIST IA)
The University of Connecticut is seeking applications and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Swimming. Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I men’s and women’s swimming program including the recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes; development of the student-athlete; home and away meet preparation and management; assisting with pool operation, and other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; previous collegiate coaching experience as a Head or Assistant Coach of a Division 1 swimming program (within the past two years); knowledge of and prior experience in the recruiting of Division I student-athletes; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; excellent organizational communication and public relations skills; USS Coaching, Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid instructor certifications needed at the time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a collegiate swimming student-athlete; and prior experience of community outreach and/or involvement with University activities.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
