Graphic and Web Designer (Part-Time)
The Graphic and Web Designer will manage the Teaching and Learning Center's (TLC) web presence and create graphically sophisticated materials to distribute to the faculty community, including emails. S/he will help meet TLC's mission by designing and implementing outreach about the academic programs, services and events we offer to support excellent teaching. S/he is also responsible for disseminating teaching resources through a variety of print and electronic formats. S/he will ensure consistency of TLC's materials across platforms. S/he will develop and maintain the TLC website with relevant programming information and regular updates of teaching resources to advance TLC's mission to foster excellent teaching. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one (1) year experience in graphic design. Experience designing and updating web content. Experience writing copy for promotional materials, web content, and blogs. Experience working with social media. Experience using email messaging software (i.e. Constant Contact, or related). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities: *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Expertise in designing promotional materials, including brochures, postcards, program guides, and posters. *Must be detail-orientated with the ability to multitask. *Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small work team. *Proficiency in MS Office software: word, excel, PowerPoint. *Proficiency using design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite software: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). *Must have understanding of HTML. *Knowledge of Google Analytics.
