The Director of Admissions for Health Sciences directs the ongoing admissions processes of the Health Sciences on a daily basis. The Director supports the Executive Director in fulfilling the requirements of admission responsibilities for Health Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Seven (7) years of experience in academic admissions, preferably at the graduate level.

Job Duties
Function:
  • Oversee the application review process including the proper calculation of GPA's advisement of students, consistent application of procedure and policies, and formal communications with applicants. Identify and investigate application irregularities. Recommend changes to policies and procedures to comply with University and external requirements.

  • Function:
  • Direct and conduct quality assurance reviews for continuous improvement of Health Sciences admission processes across all programs and departments within Health Sciences. Review the accuracy of information disseminated through public conduits (web, marketing materials, etc.) for purposes of ensuring that Admission criteria and guidelines are properly articulated.

  • Function:
  • Maintain and oversee updates of the application system(s) to ensure seamless and complete transmission of applicant data. Develop reports from the applicant systems as needed to support departmental, accreditation, and University needs.

  • Function:
  • Participate in the selection and training of all new staff involved in admission activity. Develop and implement a process for assessing individual staff competence in admission related responsibilities. Teach staff to perform internal audits as a matter of regular business process.

  • Function:
  • Conduct special projects and analyses on behalf of the Health Sciences to provide information for strategic planning program direction. Work with programs to achieve specific admissions objectives and criteria. Provide support for accredited programs in handling analyses of admissions outcomes.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
