Position Information:
The Associate Director of Graduate Programs Recruitment primary areas of responsibility include: recruitment, admissions and advisement of potential and enrolled students for all School of Business Administration (SoBA) Graduate Programs. This position has independent responsibilities for graduate support services, including comprehensive, advanced academic advising on a wide range of complex issues. The Associate Director of Graduate Programs Recruitment interprets and implements University of California, campus and SoBA policies.

The Associate Director of Graduate Programs Recruitment will work closely with the entire Graduate Program(s) team to develop, implement and evaluate the marketing strategy, recruitment programs and admissions process for all graduate programs.

The Associate Director of Graduate Programs Recruitment will interact with a sophisticated, assertive audience of potential business school applicants, and therefore, must possess excellent communication skills and persuasive dialogue. This position will provide expert knowledge of the application criteria, student profiles, and insight to assess the strength of potential applicants' candidacy throughout the recruiting and application process. The Associate Director of Graduate Programs Recruitment must possess the ability to use diplomacy to advise potential applicants as to the suitability of their background, educational achievements and professional goals.

As the UCR School of Business has multiple self-supporting programs dependent upon student enrollment, this position has a significant impact on the School's revenue generation.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Master's Degree in Business/Marketing and/or combination of Undergraduate Degree in Business/Marketing and professional work experience in a progressive graduate program at an AACSB accredited institution.

2. Demonstrated personal integrity and high ethical standards.

3. Exceptional communication skills to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

4. Experience providing effective advising to students in areas of graduate education, student development, campus resources and program admission requirements and procedures.

5. Skills to make formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences.

6. Knowledge of business trends, industries and functions. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to collect, analyze and interpret data from diverse sources to recommend a course of action.

7. Experience solving complex problems, making difficult decisions and working with sensitive situations.

8. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills to create correspondence and reports.

9. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of marketing and promotional tools and experience in publications and mediums used for outreach and recruitment.

10. Proven ability to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with internal and external constituents. Ability to work well with diverse populations in stressful and demanding situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and experience in practices of career services in higher education.

2. Skills to develop and execute a corporate engagement program to meet MBA placement needs.

3. Experience creating and implementing a broad-based strategic plan.
