Position Summary:
The Assistant Director, under the direction of the Assistant Dean and Director of Programs and Student Services, is an integral member of the Program and Student Services Team which provides high quality student programs and services to students in the Graduate School of Business Administration. The role of the AD will be to create and sustain an environment in which the team provides the best possible service to our graduate students, resulting in a higher level of satisfaction and success. This person will assist the Admissions team with the recruitment of full-time MBA students, participating in webinars and information sessions. Once students are accepted to the program, he/she will serve as the sole academic advisor for the students, providing support and assistance. The AD will be expected to focus on Community Building for the students – developing a two week orientation, developing an academic skills course for students and serving as the liaison to the full-time MBA faculty. Assistance with planning the International Field Seminars required.

Qualifications:
Masters Degree in higher education administration, student personnel services, or business required. At least six years of work experience in higher education, preferably in academic advising or student affairs. Must be able to work well with many constituencies: students, faculty, program managers, and administrators at all levels, from Deans to program support staff. Supervisory, team work and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with social media and internet applications. Experience with Personal computer skills and strong written and oral communications skills required. Must have experience and be comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information Systems (Banner) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard). Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed is required.
