Posting Description: The successful candidate is expected to teach within the health and wellness promotion and/or strength and conditioning/exercise science curricula in our established undergraduate Health Science Programs and engage in professional, departmental, and university activities. Knowledge of health behavior change, methods of health communication, as well as diversity and cultural impacts on health and wellness, is highly desired. Salary commensurate with experience. Minimum Qualifications: M.S. in Health Sciences or closely related field (e.g. health promotion, public health, exercise science, athletic training) with teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: health and wellness promotion, strength and conditioning/exercise science. Experience teaching in face-to-face or online environments. Experience teaching in both face-to-face and online environments highly desired.

Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The position require experience teaching undergraduate students in face-to-face or online environments. The successful candidates will have experience teaching in the area of health and wellness promotion and/or strength and conditioning/exercise science. Candidates with experience teaching in health and wellness promotion should be able to teach courses like intervention methods and strategies and/or health assessment. Candidates with experience teaching in strength and conditioning/exercise science should be able to teach courses like health assessment and/or group fitness instruction. The candidates will also be able to teach one or more of the following Health Science courses in addition to courses in their area of expertise: Personal Fitness and Wellness, Health Behavior Change, Health Communication, Culture and Health. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with other faculty, demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills, and commitment to quality student education are highly desired.

Desired Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) in Health Sciences or closely related field (e.g. health promotion, public health, exercise science, athletic training).
