Posting Details Posting Number: 0600399 Position Category: Administrative Specialist Job Title: Writing Realized Coordinator Position Code: 00325X Position Type: Staff Department: QEP Nature of Work: The Coordinator of the QEP initiative will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining campus QEP writing-intensive initiatives; assist in the administration of writing curriculum; support development and supervision of the University Writing Resource Rooms with online support for faculty and students; conduct and coordinate faculty development; and assist in development and implementation of assessment procedures. Training and Experience: Doctorate degree in English with specialization in rhetoric & composition is preferred; Master's degree required. Experience teaching college-level composition and/or associated subjects is highly desired. Knowledge of learning theories, research, and writing assessment methods; experience in developing and evaluating materials of both print and electronic media; and preferably experience working in a Writing Across the Curriculum or a Writing Within Discipline program. Testing Requirements: Illustrative Examples of Work: Assists faculty in designing and implementing writing intensive courses Designs and conducts faculty workshops and seminars each semester, including inviting writing consultants Trains and supervises writing resource specialists Develops assessment instruments as needed for the writing curriculum Recruits, trains, and oversees writing resource personnel, as needed Collects data and provides reports on Writing Resource Room activities Performs other duties as assigned.
