Wake Forest University invites applications for the Michael and Deborah K. Rubin Presidential Chair of Jewish History for an appointment at the associate professor level beginning July 2015. Research may be focused on any aspect of Jewish history; preference will be given to those who will enhance the interdisciplinary strengths of the Department of History and the University. The teaching duties include Jewish history and an introductory level world history course. Excellent teaching of undergraduates and high-quality scholarship are central to Wake Forest’s mission. Presidential Chairs embody the highest standards of scholarship, teaching, and mentorship at the University. The Chair includes research and travel funds, a reduced teaching load, and opportunities for program development.
