Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience. Degree requirement may be substituted for an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


Desired Qualifications:

At least three years of box office managerial/supervisory experience is desirable.

Current knowledge of ticketing systems and proficiency in hard ticket sales and reconciliation.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Excellent verbal and written communications.

Knowledge of personal computer operations and/or maintenance.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including daytime, evening, and weekends.

Job Duties
Function:
  • Manages and oversees the daily operations and procedures for University ticketed events and box office activities, including developing and implementing goals, procedures, rules, regulations, and standards for University ticketed venues and for non-professional billing activities.

    Oversees and is responsible for a system of accountability that incorporates ticket sales agents with cash banks on a daily basis. Maintains records and reports of ticket sales. Oversees and coordinates the reconciliation and accounting of all ticket sales for each ticketed event with the Finance Manager.

    Partners with the Marketing Manager at Lisner Auditorium and other entities to ensure that marketing and ticketing for events are integrated for the promotion of events and ticket sales.

    Ensures a safe and comfortable environment for events, customer satisfaction and service; resolves problems and conflicts as necessary.

  • Function:
  • Manages the allocation of tickets for artists, students, and general public; handles any internal ticket orders and comp requests; and oversees and supervises event Will Call.

    Works with promoters and the university's venue managers to provide substantial support to Lisner Auditorium. Advises clients, promoters and event coordinators in the development of ticket stock.

    Ensures and maintains contracts with various external ticketing agencies and may be required to contract for a variety of sales for services at various times.

  • Oversees one full-time employee and a team of student employees working in the box office and Lisner Auditorium’s reception, totaling 80 hours per week. Supervises, trains and schedules all staff members.
