Position Summary: INTERNAL POSTING ONLY The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for record-keeping, negotiating contracts, supplier relationships, contract management/administration, seeking quality goods/services at an acceptable price that meets the Laboratory's needs and participate in special projects as assigned in addition to, or in lieu of those described below, according to the Laboratory's needs. Assume the authority fully commensurate with assigned duties and responsibilities. Responsibilities include: Purchase Commodities/Services Negotiate /Administer Procurement Agreements Primary PCard System Administrator PPPL Printing Officer This position description documents the general nature and level of work but is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all activities, duties and responsibilities required of job incumbent. Consequently, job incumbent may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain, procurement or relevant business experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Knowledge of computer-based procurement systems; demonstrated skills using computers and various software, and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Other copious required skills include: Excellent verbal and written communication; results-oriented, self-motivated, decision-making, problem-solving, math and negotiation skills; and outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
