The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota invites applications for an Admissions Counselor.
Responsibilities: implement creative marketing strategies for a specific territory; build relationships with a variety of internal and external constituencies; manage various projects related to recruitment of qualified students; effectively articulate mission and unique strengths of the university; communicate value of a private education and financing alternatives; accurately participate in a team-based environment; learn and respond to a dynamic and competitive industry.
A Bachelor's degree is required. One (1) year of experience in Admissions is preferred (professional experience or experience as a tour guide, Student Ambassador, Intern, or related higher education experience, etc.); related experience in marketing, sales, event planning, sales, territory management, relationship building, customer service preferred.
The successful candidate must be self-directed, highly motivated, energetic, personable, technologically competent, comfortable working with diverse and underrepresented student populations, and possess outstanding communication and organizational skills. Night and weekend work, some overnight travel required. Valid Minnesota driver’s license required.
