Administrative Coordinator (Facilities &Event Coordinator) (Req. # STA000044) Position Description: This position will coordinate, oversee, and perform a wide variety of administrative and program support activities on behalf of the Russell Union Facilities and Event Services department within Student Affairs; and will serve as the primary point of operational and administrative contact between varying departments, vendors, and external constituents. This position will spend the majority of time organizing the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects and/or events in the day-to-day management of the unit; and will coordinate the provision of office and staff support services by setting goals and deadlines. This position supervises student facility operation assistants and team leaders, assigns and manages work schedules according to reservation demand, and meets with clients to coordinate successful use of the facility. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; one or more years of related work experience; effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field; previous experience with working in a college student union setting; facility management at a college/university; or event planning and management.
