Strength and Conditioning
Responsible for assisting in coordinating the strength and conditioning programs for FSU intercollegiate athletic teams. Create individual instruction on proper exercise techniques and safe and proper use of equipment. Administers testing protocols and evaluates results. Assists in injury management and rehabilitation.
Organize maintenance and supervision activates for strength training facilities.
Assist with developing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program.
Plans and implements diversified strength and conditioning programs based on determined needs, time, and facility limitations. Oversee schedule and development of volunteer coaches.
Assist with on campus recruiting of student-athlete prospects.
Assist with property inventory, purchase of equipment, preparing portions of budget, and selection and order of apparel.
A Master's degree and one year of appropriate experience; or a Bachelor's degree and three years of appropriate experience.
This position requires CSCS or SCCC credentials.
CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.
Skills in design and application of conditioning program.
Knowledge of muscle physiology and general biomechanics.
Ability to correctly and effectively teach the Olympic lifts.
Ability to determine individual physical potential and limitations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; Filemaker Pro preferred.
Schedule includes evening and weekend hours.
Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
