Position Summary: The Instructional Designer assists faculty with evidenced based instructional strategies in the design, development, and delivery of on-site and on-line undergraduate and graduate nursing courses and research activities; provides technical support and collaborates with faculty in curricular enhancements and production of instructional media.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
A Masters degree in Education, Instructional Technology or related field. Three years of recent experience in instructional design, creating and implementing distance learning programs, and other teaching activities in an academic setting preferred; advanced knowledge and skill in instructional design for distance learning and on-site programs; advanced knowledge and proficiency in current instructional technologies including PC hardware operations and software applications such as Adobe Presenter and Zoom, learning management systems such as D2L and ANGEL, web based resources, audio-visual programs and equipment, etc.; ability to work with content experts in the design of instructional components that satisfy curricular requirements and/or research activities; ability to discuss and advise on technical issues with non- technical persons; effective and efficient project management skills; excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
