This position directly supervises carpenters and ensures appropriate procedures and schedules during the course of their work. Coordinates, select materials and techniques for fabrication based on job conditions and type of service being provided. Maintaining, repairing, and installing all carpenter related work on campus. This is a working supervisory position, and includes all working duties of a carpenter.
Applicant needs a high school diploma or equivalent and carpentry trade school with two years of carpentry supervision or management experience. Knowledge of carpentry principles and their application to maintenance, installation and repair. Knowledge of residential, commercial, or heavy construction trade techniques such as concrete, roofing, rough framing, exterior/interior trim work, and case or fixture work. Skill in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools and equipment. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
