Description

The Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical Translational Research is seeking a health Systems Analyst Programmer I (TERM).  This is a full-time/exempt term position lasting six months to one year. 

                               

Position Specific Key Functions and Expected Performance:    

                   

Assists in the design and development of electronic data entry forms to accurately collect instrument and operational study data.                     

Assist in the planning, design, implementation, training, on-going support, and modification of existing and new complex computer-based and web-based informational management systems.                 

Exhibits the ability to understand study protocols and guidelines, critically evaluating each data entry form to meet the protocols and guidelines as well as modifying electronic forms as needed.                           

Participates in system 'user acceptance' testing in an ongoing basis.                    

Develop new electronic data entry instruments for use in REDCap based on NCS study protocols and guidelines.                          

Assist in the development and updating of coding documentation and training documents.

This is a full-time/exempt TERM position lasting six months to one year.
 
Salary is commensurate upon years of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required or the equivalent.
 
Preferred knowledge, skills and experience:                   
              
Good communication skills (verbal and written) preferred.                     
Expertise in database design (MySQL, Oracle, and/or SQL Server) helpful.                        
Prior experience with/knowledge of REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) software helpful.                      
Must be able to work in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills.                          
Prior experience in database development and data collection/entry preferred.                          
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines preferred.                
Prior experience with study protocols and  guidelines preferred.                          
Prefer prior experience with program documentation.                              
Prefer detail and process oriented.
