Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:
An entry level position that provides a variety of general assessment/enrollment services in an admissions office environment (credit/non-credit). Usually, a front-line individual processing in-person, phone, and/or mail-in admissions/registration requests
requiring considerable amount of attention to detail. Also provides general office support to work area. Acts as an information source, providing information related to DCCCD policies and procedures and state and federal regulations related to admissions/registration.
Processes general applications for enrollment; accepts applications, inputs data, verifies for
completeness and accuracy and screens students for eligibility. Processes department related
forms. Provides general office support to work area, such as, maintaining files, ordering supplies, manage wait lists, print certificates, etc. Distributes department related forms. Responsible for scanning documents into district digital imaging records management system. Participate in recruiting activities. Assign students to classes on flexible schedule as space is available. Notifies appropriate persons
of assignments and maintains student records.
Coordinate the admissions and registration processes for special programs and populations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Works with light, easy to handle materials requiring little physical effort.

High school graduate or equivalent plus two years of admissions and/or general office
experience. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others and ability to interpret and communicate DCCCD policies and procedures and external agency regulations to varying levels of DCCCD staff and students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain restraint and keep calm when faced with emotional or irate individuals. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service. Official transcript will be required.
