Job Duties
Function:
  • Investigates why financial aid/loans did not credit student's account or why it was backed off.

  • Function:
  • Evaluates student's academic performance to be sure he/she is maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

  • Function:
  • Reviews aid application data to tax forms, bank statements, citizenship, etc.; determines family contribution and student's eligibility for financial assistance.

  • Function:
  • Based on preliminary awards, confirms/verifies application so award notification can be produced; verifies all federal and institutional policies are properly applied.

  • Function:
  • Reviews and responds to "appeals" from students for a reevaluation.

  • Function:
  • Performs in-depth counseling with students/parents; discusses loan options and payment plans.

  • Function:
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
