Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus three years of relevant experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Investigates why financial aid/loans did not credit student's account or why it was backed off.
Evaluates student's academic performance to be sure he/she is maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
Reviews aid application data to tax forms, bank statements, citizenship, etc.; determines family contribution and student's eligibility for financial assistance.
Based on preliminary awards, confirms/verifies application so award notification can be produced; verifies all federal and institutional policies are properly applied.
Reviews and responds to "appeals" from students for a reevaluation.
Performs in-depth counseling with students/parents; discusses loan options and payment plans.
Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
