Manager - Instructional Services

This is an exciting and multi-faceted opportunity. The instructional services manager will help develop, coordinate, and implement restructuring the operations of the office of instruction at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. The manager works closely with staff to coordinate efficient workflow and process improvement, providing necessary training toward those ends. This position develops, organizes, and tracks educational systems for the office of instruction and provides excellent research and data analytic support. Responsibilities also include schedule development and facilities use, catalog production, and program marketing. This is an exempt, professional-technical management position that reports to the vice president of instruction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and engage others
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team
  • Demonstrated ability to write and speak effectively to diverse audiences for multiple purposes
  • Demonstrated technical ability with computers and software applications and learning new systems
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with office/business procedures and processe
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, staff, and community from diverse backgrounds, including non-native English speakers, and a commitment to a culturally diverse work environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Work experience in higher education
  • Demonstrated participation in professional development, training, and education
  • Familiarity with the current course management software system
