Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 14,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is only the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. The School of Osteopathic Medicine has a faculty practice plan that serves approximately 200,000 patients throughout Southern New Jersey. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts eight colleges--Rohrer College of Business and colleges of Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Engineering, Graduate and Continuing Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Performing Arts, and Science and Mathematics-and has been called upon by the state to create a College of Health Sciences. 




The Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University is seeking applicants for a *- time, non-tenure track position for the 2014-2015 academic year, one year appointment only.   The college is seeking applicants who have a background in teaching any of the following courses: Database Management, Systems Analysis & Design, E-commerce, and an introductory course in Management Information Systems.  Candidate must show evidence of quality teaching.  In addition to teaching, departmental service will be required. 

A master's degree in a technology-related field with appropriate professional experience is required.  A Ph.D. and experience at the post-secondary level are preferred.

Start Date:  September 2014

The MIS program prepares students for careers in a rapidly changing technological world by training them to analyze business problems, challenges, and opportunities and to subsequently design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions through the use of information and information technology.  The MIS program is housed in the Marketing and Business Information Systems Department, which is one of three academic departments within the Rohrer College of Business.  The following MIS program options are offered: an undergraduate major, an undergraduate minor, a MBA specialization, a certificate of graduate study, and a certificate of advanced graduate study.
