Job Duties
Function:
  • Oversees a project that is staffed by four principal investigators, three to four full-time research assistants, and temporary research assistants. Responsible for hiring and supervision of research assistants. Assists with budget oversight and teams with the Financial Director of the project to ensure funds are properly allocated and expended. Organizes and leads team meetings. Responsible for managing the annual report process and overall quality control of all technical reports published by the project.

  • Function:
  • Organizes school recruitment and site visits, researches participating school websites, and works with school site coordinators to ensure research methodology requirements are met through pre-visit and on-site data collection. Conducts semi-structured phone interviews with school principals. Ensures new interview protocols under development for Phase 2 of the project meet standards of human subjects research (IRB). Responsible for consenting/assenting students, parents, teachers, school administrators in accordance with IRB-approved protocols and collecting data using IRB-approved observation and interview protocols as a member of site visit data collection teams requiring travel to one to four school site in the U.S. for up to 5 days in the 2014-2015 school year.

  • Function:
  • Responsible for assigned data analysis and scholarly writing for large (80 page) case studies for each school; ensures overall quality control of each case study. Co-authors scholarly papers with principle investigators and conducts literature reviews.
