EAD Specialist

The EAD Specialist investigates claims of discrimination made by employees or students; includes claims made by federal or state agencies. Trains staff on investigation procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Analyzes data and mediates conflicts.

Key Functions and Expected Performances:
  • Investigate complaints of discrimination made by employees or students, as well as federal or state agencies.
    1. Provide training to other staff members with respect to investigations, and interpretation of applicable laws and regulations.
      1. Analyze written and statistical data relevant to making a determination on the merits of claims of discrimination.
        1. Mediate conflicts relating to claims of discrimination.
          1. Provide information to and consult with the Office of the General Counsel with respect to responses to complaints filed with outside agencies.
            1. Interview potential complaintants to determine appropriateness of complaints for EAD processing and obtain complete information necessary to pursue cases effectively
            This position requires a Bachelor's and 5 years of experience or the equivalent.
            Experience conducting investigations and writing investigative reports (will ask for writing samples).
            Self-starter and must be flexible.
