Job Description Summary/Essential Duties:

Supervises the daily operation of the college Admissions/Registrar office. Coordinates the activities of the clerical staff in the completion of department functions. Acts as the lead resource person in answering questions and providing information regarding admissions procedures, DCCCD policies, and regulations of state and federal agencies. Oversees department functions including: 1) Evaluating TSI scores/transcripts, processing foreign student applications, and confirming residency requirements; 2) Verifying/certifying reports, files, enrollment status, records, and applications; 3) Preparing and/or distributing semester grade transcripts, degree plans, diplomas, certificates, and schedules; 4)The admission and registration of students; 5) Interpreting and communicating state/federal regulations. Coordinates the updating of student records regarding residence classifications and assists the college Business Office in correcting residence problems identified via fee collection reports. Supervises and/or participates in input of class schedules, final grade rolls, add/drop, and withdrawals. Verifies accuracy and completeness of state reports. Performs designated duties of the Director in his/her absence. Supervision: Responsibility of selecting, training, coaching, development and evaluation of assigned full time staff. Some positions may coordinate the admissions and registration processes for special programs and populations. Performs related duties as required.

Associate's degree or higher plus two years of experience in an admissions related position or high school graduate plus four years' experience an admissions related position. Must have one year supervisory experience of full time staff. Advanced knowledge of mainframe applications related to department function. Ability to access and input student records to generate a variety of reports. Communication skills to support explanation of policies and procedures related to admissions and interpretation of regulations to students/prospective students, college staff and the general public from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service. Official transcripts will be required. *Will be subject to a criminal background check.*
