Position Summary: This is an important position within the School and is directly aligned with the School's Strategic Plan, particularly Strategic Initiative 1: Educational Renaissance. A major objective of Strategic Initiative 1 is to transform learning and the curriculum of the Doctor of Pharmacy program. This position will be dedicated to working collaboratively with faculty, educational technology staff, and The Academy to prepare for a fall 2015 implementation of the new Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. The Multimedia Producer will join the educational technology staff within the Academy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and report to the Executive Director of the Academy. Working closely with faculty and staff, the Multimedia Producer will be responsible for fostering the creation, development, and integration of a host of multimedia educational offerings into the professional and graduation programs in the School; ensure that highly innovative teaching methods become standard best practice; inform and advise the Executive Director of The Academy regarding current and emerging trends in educational technology and multimedia of importance to the School's Curricular Transformation efforts and Educational Renaissance Initiative; and pursue professional development activities to enhance skill set and remain at the forefront of instructional-focused multimedia design theory and practice.

Education Requirements: Relevant post-baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities related to instructional technology and or distance education design, development, or implementation, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and three or more years of relevant experience in substitution.

Qualification and Experience: Minimum Required Skills: -2D and or 3D creative artwork and illustration experience. -Experience with computer-based illustration development software (Adobe Master Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere, After Effects, and InDesign), Cinema 4D Blender, and Unity 3D) and equipment (tablet digitizer). -Experience with web production techniques. -Demonstrated past successes in day-to-day execution of projects; exemplary organizational skills. - Ability to work closely with faculty, staff, and design team members to develop engaging content across all digital media for use in curriculum improvement efforts Additional Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with nonlinear video editing software. Familiarity with video production principles and techniques. Familiarity with coding HTML CSS JavaScript. Demonstrate an interest in multimedia development (interactivity, 3D scripting, mobile applications). Experience creating and managing copy, images and other supporting graphics. Skill in conceptualizing, creating, and editing graphics animations video intended to engage students, alumni and other audiences. Demonstrate interest in and passion for advancing the School's Educational Renaissance Initiative. Multitask and prioritize responsibilities and activities. Solve complex problems in a timely manner.
