CONNECTICUT COLLEGE, has an exciting opportunity for an IT Service Desk and Training Manager to perform a wide variety of help desk and information technology duties including, but not limited to, leading and administering the Connecticut College IT Service Desk operations, providing technical support to faculty, staff and students for supported hardware/software and develop, promote and provide security awareness and technology training programs across campus. The ideal candidate will manage and lead the IT Service Desk operations on campus; supervise the IT Service Desk staff and student workers; develop and maintain the Computing and Telephone Support site on the IS Web site; manage the virtual computer store and facilitate warranty hardware repairs; coordinate all computer technology training requests and technical training activities; work with various offices to ensure that training needs are met; provide instruction on college-supported software packages and operating systems, e.g., GoogleDocs and MS Office; provide activity reports for planning and forecasting. Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience; prior experience with ITSM process; expertise with college applications and productivity software, MS Office and GoogleDocs, and computing hardware platforms, both Mac and PC preferred; knowledge of information security principles in a college and office environment; requires strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build and sustain key relationships with faculty, students, staff, outside vendors and co-workers; ability to develop and present clear, concise and effective training sessions; ability to set and adhere to priorities; must be able to work under pressure and plan and accomplish goals.
