IT: Cyber Crime Investigations and Forensics -- This course covers intrusion detection methodologies, tools and approaches to incident response. Computer forensic principles, including operating system concepts, registry structures, file system concepts, boot process, and file operations are examined. The course also includes an overview of the theory and techniques utilized for tracking attackers across the Internet. Practical exercises from case studies of Internet based crimes are utilized. Minimum qualifications are a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. PhD preferred. A minimum of three to four years experience in the IT field. A minimum of two years teaching at the college level. Experience teaching online is very desirable. Required Skills- Deep experience with: computer forensics in the public or private sectors, computer crime scene investigation, internet crime, and some knowledge of the current laws relating to computer crime required. IT: Wireless, Mobile, and Crime Security - This course explores the threats and risks prevalent in today’s organizations as a result of the pervasive use of wireless and cloud technology. Securing these emerging platforms is often an afterthought, leaving many systems vulnerable to attacks. This course will covers a broad range of techniques necessary to ensure operational integrity and customer data protection. Minimum qualifications are a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. PhD preferred. A minimum of three to four years experience in the IT field. A minimum of two years teaching at the college level. Experience teaching online is very desirable. Required skills-Deep knowledge of: computer and network security methods, wireless transmission, risk evaluation, vulnerability assessment, security in data storage and processing as it relates to cloud computing, and disaster/recovery planning.
