Web Content Editor

The Web Content Editor will be an experienced writer and editor, and will be responsible for the content on the Academic Affairs and COD Online portion of the College of DuPage website. The Web Content Editor will learn the details about the programs, degrees and divisions in Academic Affairs, and fulfill change requests to keep the website updated. This position will have responsibility for expanding the scope and content of the COD Online website and ensuring that the college's online students and faculty have a comprehensive resource at their disposal.


Complete change requests for the Academic Affairs portion of the College of DuPage public website.
Become familiar with the academic programs and degree requirements across the college and be able to communicate effectively about them to student, faculty and community stakeholders.
Coordinate video shoots and web application development with staff members and with Multimedia Services.
Keep current with content marketing trends and skill sets.
Support faculty in the effective and appropriate use of technology tools for teaching and learning.
Deliver a regular schedule of technology training workshops and modules for faculty, based on applicant's area of expertise.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Credentials:


EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in a communication, technology or instructional design discipline or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: Two years of professional experience in some area of web design.

EXPERIENCE: Professional experience using Adobe Creative Suite software
