The Instructional Designer will be a creative thinker and energetic collaborator with a strong interest in helping faculty to transform their teaching. The Instructional Designer will work closely with faculty to design, develop, deliver, and assess technology-based learning solutions that make a significant impact on the student learning experience. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for serving as the design and development lead on multiple online and hybrid course projects, as well as working in a consulting role with individual faculty members using technology tools.
Develop and revise online and hybrid courses using instructional design models and best practices in online education.
Regularly consult with individual faculty members regarding course design issues and in the effective use of technology tools. Recommend appropriate solutions.
Coordinate with the Instructional Technologist, Multimedia Services and other college units to plan and schedule the development of media assets for online and hybrid courses.
Ensure developed online and hybrid media assets are in alignment with course learning outcomes.
Design and deliver a regular schedule of online pedagogy and technology training workshops and modules in online, hybrid and face-to-face formats.
Stay current in the fields of instructional design, online learning and instructional technology.
Other duties assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Learning Theory or similar discipline.
EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design theory and online learning best practices.
EDUCATION: Master's degree
EXPERIENCE: Require three years of professional experience creating web-based instructional materials.
