Position Summary: This position serves the needs of the Provost, the Assistant Vice President/Director of the Office of Planning and Budgets, and is a strategic partner between the Provost's Office and academic units in the coordination of academic planning and the budgeting process; develops, leads, and evaluates academic strategic and operational planning, organizational effectiveness, and quality improvement initiatives with impact analysis of resource allocation decisions; provides strategic planning in higher education finance and business development; views financial information from a broad global perspective; participates in team-building/facilitation experience; demonstrates expertise in developing and analyzing financial strategies using proven skills in forecasting and financial modeling; works skillfully with broad concepts, cross-functional collaborations in a complex, decentralized organization; actively engages at all levels of higher education institutions, identifying key stakeholders, conflicts/barriers and solutions.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one to two years of post-bachelor's degree work, such as a master's degree in business, finance, or a related field; more than eight years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in budgeting and financial management including business metrics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Diverse financial, strategic planning, management analysis experience; skilled in development, implementation, and management of financial and organizational plans, budgets, and assessment of financial position; experience with organizational change; ability to organize and manage projects independently; ability to clearly present analysis and financial solutions; strong analytical communication and technical skills; effective writing skills and ability to summarize ideas from unit materials presented and link strategy and planning with the implementation of goals.
