Trainer/Materials Developer (Part Time On Call)

As part of the Intergenerational Center's Coming of Age Program the Trainer/Materials Developer will develop research-based curricula for training on specialized areas such as engaging older adult volunteers, meeting challenges facing kinship families, and aging issues across the lifespan. The incumbent will travel to various sites making technical presentations and delivering workshops, and will continuously research and pilot new curricula, evaluate the work and make ongoing revisions. In addition, the Trainer/Materials Developer works closely with Director to determine training and technical assistance needs, plays a leadership role as part of training and curriculum teams, researches, writes and pilots training curricula, delivers training in-person and web-based, creates presentations, presents to community groups and other stakeholders, collects evaluation data and provides written feedback, and writes, edits and distributes recommendations based on his/her technical expertise. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and at least three years of directly related teaching, training and/or curriculum development experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities: *Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals. *Demonstrated ability managing and coordinating complex projects and proposals. *Excellent organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail. *Ability to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS Office. Preferred: *Master's degree with at least 10 years non profit or government experience.
