The trustees of East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) invite applications for President of the University from experienced visionary leaders in Christian higher education with a mature and vibrant Christian faith and a heart for academic excellence, servant leadership, service and ministry.  


ETBU is an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas and has maintained a robust Christian commitment that permeates the University’s total mission.  As the chief executive officer, the President will be the spiritual leader of the campus community, will lead the faculty, administrators and staff in all aspects of the institution’s programs and activities to ensure the integration of faith and learning, will promote excellence in teaching and scholarship to ensure students are receiving a transformative education, will be actively engaged in fundraising to generate the support required, and will build the institution’s reputation as an outstanding Christian university effectively preparing students for careers and lives of service.
