The College of Health Sciences, Office of Student Affairs is currently seeking a Director of Healthcare Residential College (LLP) to serve as the administrator, coordinator and advisor to the Healthcare Residential College. This position will report to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and will have frequent contact with students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, this position will manage and coordinate the resident mentors program (live-in Resident mentors) and teach a leadership and development class as well as UK 101; be a liaison between residence life staff and a variety of college and University constituents (e.g., Academic Advisors and Associate Deans, Resident Hall Director, Resident Advisors, Faculty from partner colleges and the teaching faculty of the Healthcare Residential College program); work with the administrative team to augment student progress, advise students at risk and those with academic alerts as well as provide resources to all students in the program. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring programming in the hall and off campus trips, maintaining and managing budget for the Healthcare Residential College, attending regular meetings, assisting teaching faculty with management of the classroom; assessing student learning outcomes and creating a strategic plan for each academic year all in an effort to improve retention and graduation rates at the University. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, confidentiality, sensitivity to information, dependability, awareness of diversity and inclusion, sound judgment, problem solving, conflict management, attention to detail, decision-making, leadership, event planning, budget management, presentation skills, and assessment skills. Requires a Master’s degree and 5 years related experience. Prefer a Master’s degree in Counseling, Higher Education or related area.
