Range 9, ($4,549.36 – $6,476.58) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Administrators’ Association Salary Schedule.

Initial salary placement is typically Step A ($4,549.36) or Step B ($4,763.50). Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the handbook. This position is FLSA Exempt (does not accrue overtime). Excellent benefits are provided to employees with assignments equal to or greater than 50%, and all eligible dependents. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment. The Position
Applications are currently being accepted for Bookstore Supervisor. This position will be located at the Miramar College Campus Bookstore. Hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and some evenings until 6:30 pm. During Rush periods, the store hours are Monday through Thursday until 8:30 pm. and Sat 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department’s needs.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Desired Qualifications
  • Previous College/University Bookstore and or Retail Management experience.
  • Combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of two years of college majoring in business administration or related subject, and four years of related experience, two years of which must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity.

    Conditions of Employment:
    SELECTED CANDIDATE IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT:

  • Pass a pre-employment physical exam at the District’s expense;
  • Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam for initial appointment (Note: The certificate must be renewed every 4 years as a condition of continuing employment);

  • Attend a new hire processing appointment in Human Resources located at the District Administrative Offices.
