Director of Development, Carpenter Library- Position #333760
The University of North Florida, Department of Development and Alumni Affairs and the Library Dean invite applications for a new Director of Development for the University of North Florida - Carpenter Library. The Director will be responsible for providing staff support to form and manage the library's Leadership Council, plan and staff the library's Annual Fund drives, identify, cultivate, solicit and provide stewardships of major donors for library initiatives at the level of $25,000 or more. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three or more years of development experience or experience directly related to the job functions. Candidate should have a proven track record in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and tracking major gifts to included five-figure plus commitments. Related experience may include a combination of fundraising, volunteer board management, external sales, external/community affairs, business development, marketing or experience that involves reaching out to external constituencies to engage more closely with the organization or company that you represent. Candidate will demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degrees and experience with Raiser's Edge donor software preferred. Excellent eye and concern for appearance of supporting materials. Proven ability to effectively utilize computer application technology, particularly word processors, internet and electronic mail. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to quickly build relationships with prospects, alums and donors. Ability to influence many different groups of people. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
