Assistant Director, Student Services (Graduate and International Student Advisement)

Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Assistant Director is directly responsible for overseeing advisement of graduate students and contributing to the planning and implementation of strategies designed to improve student retention. The Assistant Director will function as a Designated School Official (DSO) and work closely with the PDSO to ensure the College is compliant with F-1 and J-1 visa regulations relevant to immigration, visa, and labor laws. Additional responsibilities include coordination of student advisement; providing staff training when necessary; conducting workshops for students; and participating in new student orientation, student life and student development. Minimum Requirements: Must have Master’s Degree in Education, Higher Education, Counseling and Student Personnel Services, or related field with 3-5 years experience in Student Affairs. The candidate must have strong communication and critical thinking skills; computer literacy (Microsoft Office and student information system). Evening and weekend hours required.
