Job Description:

Wittenberg University is currently recruiting for an Assistant Professor of Education, Pre-K / Elementary.  This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position housed in Wittenberg's Education Department to begin August 2014. The successful candidate will teach general teaching methods for Preschool & Elementary licensure areas, literacy and integrating the arts courses, graduate level courses, and other courses in areas of the candidate's expertise; advise and supervise pre-service teachers and graduate students.


Minimum: Ph.D. in early childhood or elementary education or closely related field, and a strong background in either Pre-K / Elementary curriculum and literacy. A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the pre-college level is required.  Evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarship along with evidence of participation in relevant professional organizations is required.  In addition, the ideal candidate should show commitment to teacher preparation in a liberal arts setting.  ABD will be considered.
