Position Summary: University Housing. This position will serve as the responsible management official for all custodial accounts within Housing, Auxiliary and Eagle Dining. These accounts represent a 24-hour operation. Incumbent also oversees all custodial room inspections found within residential spaces. Incumbent is responsible for all specialized cleaning techniques utilized within critical environment response. Other duties include the oversight of Auxiliary grounds crew, supply and inventory, and custodial workers in Residential and Auxiliary Facilities; interact with staff members in their work environment and monitor the quality of work, efficiency, and procedures. As a member of the facilities leadership team, this position will provide project direction, goal setting, and crisis management. Scope of management supports the following: 5,100 student lodgers, 2.3 million square feet of usable space, 24-hour service seven days a week, 52 weeks per year, 105 full-time staff, in addition to more than 150 temporary staff during peak seasonal cleaning periods (December through January and May through August). Incumbent will serve in an on-call rotation every seven weeks to facilitate after-hours facility response needs. The salary range for this position Minimum: $38,713 to Midpoint: $48,418

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree (additional experience may substitute for some of the education requirement)

Preferred Education: Certified Executive Housekeeper certification through International Executive Housekeeper Association

Minimum Experience Required: Three or more years of work-related experience; administrative experience

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Effective organization and human relations skills; strong communication skills (written and verbal); self-motivation skills; proficiency with PC computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
