Position Summary: Will perform a full range of mental health care services at Olin Student Health Center while collaborating with other departments; the successful candidate would be committed to understanding the special needs of University students.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through completion of more than three years of study beyond a four-year college degree, such as a medical doctorate or osteopathic doctorate degree; up to six months of related experience in a clinical environment after completion of residency in an accredited adult or child psychiatry program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a license from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy and a license either from the Michigan Board of Medicine or the Michigan Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery; and board certification/eligibility in psychiatry.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: Experience working with college-age students and a multi-cultural international population; experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team; outpatient psychiatry experience including psychopharmacology, crisis intervention and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders; experience in peer review, committee work, quality improvement initiatives and electronic medical records.

Summary of Health Risks and Physical Demands (if applicable): Duties associated with this position involve exposure to human biological specimens and materials covered under universal precautions and TB risk or working within three feet of human patients in a health care setting.
