Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for advising the planning and execution of University Activities Board programs with UAB student directors and staff; solicits feedback from a diverse student population regarding programming selections; oversees staffing, volunteers, required arrangements, and safety and security for UAB programs; advises and assists students with personal goal setting, learning outcomes, and objectives; monitors monetary expenditures and holds student event planners to budgetary guidelines; assists UAB Manager with annual
budget development; prepares materials for leadership training, student development, and retention of volunteers to maintain a viable and fully functioning board and committees; attends weekly UAB member meetings and staff meetings as well as monthly MSU Union staff meetings; coordinates, implements, and manages the UAB Holiday and Spring Arts & Crafts shows; performs other duties as assigned.

Support Staff: Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's in administration or a behavioral science field; one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administration, program development and personal development and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
