Position Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and distributing reports and scorecards on the clinical activities of the College of Human Medicine by gathering and analyzing data from multiple data sources, including University systems (e.g., EIS); the resultant end products will show progress and yield insights critical to helping leadership, faculty, and staff to develop a robust, vibrant clinical practice; also assists with analyzing clinical operational financial statements and acts as the liaison between the College of Human Medicine clinical departments and the Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and the Chief Financial Officer; responsibilities also include developing financial models and other projects as directed.

Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired by completing a four-year degree in business, accounting, business analytics, statistics, economics, or related field; three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in business analytics, business intelligence, and financial analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typing Requirements (wpm):

Desired Qualifications: One or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a master's in business analytics, statistics, economics, or related field; two to three years of specific experience with and knowledge of: gathering data, performing analysis, performing healthcare marketing analytics and healthcare marketing research, developing reports and dashboards, and creating presentations; use of data mining, analytics, and business intelligence tools to tell compelling data stories; expert with Microsoft Office suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint software, and with social media and cloud-based tools; detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects; strong communication skills; ability to relate well with diverse types of co-workers.
