Director of Creative Services
Posting Description: *Job Duties:* *+Strategic Communications:+* Responsible for helping to develop a communications and marketing strategy that is based on the school's vision and strategic plan. Support the school's brand and guides it through the implementation of key initiatives to establish Leeds' reputation as both the premier business school in the region and as a distinctive national and international player. Work with senior leadership to establish communications and marketing strategies targeted to a diverse set of constituents: alumni, donors, students, parents, corporate partners, faculty, staff, and rating/ranking organizations. *+Internal Communications and Production:+* Develop and execute an ongoing plan for communicating and marketing the school's strategy effectively with the school's internal constituents including students (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty, and staff. Provide design and project support services including layout, website production, project planning, estimate development, video editing, photo editing, content editing, writing and other related services as needed. *+Departmental Operations and Oversight:+* Effectively manage the department's staff and oversee the ongoing operations of the creative services department. Guide the production of all photo and video assets by working with University Communications, outside vendors,internal staff, and internal resources. Guide the management of the school's website, digital communications and social media platforms. --- *What we can offer:* Salary range starting at $72,000 and commensurate with skills and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, journalism, marketing, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of related communications project and/or creative services/agency management experience. A thorough understanding of the creative development process for print production, social and digital media, websites, video and photography. Ability to develop websites, manage digital content including e-newsletters, utilize the Adobe Creative Suite, provide video production and editing services, manage social media platforms and manage print production as needed.
Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Desired Qualifications: Experience interacting with rating / ranking entities such as the AACSB, Businessweek, and US News and World Report. Expertise in working within a business school communications and/or marketing department. Demonstrated ability to manage a complete brand ecosystem, including integrated strategies for publications, media relations, social marketing, marketing communications, and websites. Experience with regional and national media, with demonstrated successful results, including international media experience. Demonstrated experience exercising discretion and independent judgement, within the communications and creative services realm, in a role that required only general supervision in performing normal day-to-day work. Excellent teamwork and management skills, along with the ability to support the professional development of direct reports and other colleagues. Current knowledge and understanding of business thought and trends, as well as solid awareness of business news and developments.
