Provide direct administrative and clerical support to the Grants Compliance Analyst.

Provide direct administrative and clerical support for centers under Health Affairs in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine to include the Center on Patient Safety, the Center for Strategic Health Preparedness and the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) among others. Provides direct assistance to faculty affiliated with the centers under Health Affairs to include working on presentations and courses, serving as the website content creator and mailing/shipping of publications and materials.

Assist with the preparation of meeting and conference materials. Assists with events sponsored by the department and centers to include planning, logistics, errands, set-up, clean-up, etc. Runs occasional errands both on and off campus requiring the operation of a motor vehicle. May be required to work occasional evening and/or weekend hours to cover scheduled events.

Process purchase orders ensuring all documents are prepared, signed, distributed and processed meeting deadlines in accordance with Florida State University policies and procedures

Serve as the travel representative for designated faculty. Process and submit all travel authorizations, gather documentation and submit travel reimbursements. Make all necessary travel arrangements to include hotel, flights, car rentals, etc. for faculty, staff and guests in accordance with Florida State University policies and procedures ensuring travel arrangements and reimbursements are processed in a timely manner.

Provide general administrative and clerical support for the department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine to include assisting with data analysis functions and data entry utilizing SPSS/Access, Blackboard content and serving as a department representative for CV Builder.

A high school diploma or equivalency and four years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years)

Experience with compiling, gathering, interpreting, reporting and/or editing information.

Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable software.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Experience with office practices, procedures, and etiquette.

Basic mathematical skills.

Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to perform assigned responsibilities independently.

Bachelor's Degree.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, as well as University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.

Pay Plan
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
