Willamette University's Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2015. We seek candidates with combined teaching and research expertise in either Sociology of Education or Sociology of Health and Medicine, and in particular candidates who do work on social or racial disparities in health or education. Teaching responsibilities include five courses annually. The candidate will support the Sociology Department's core curriculum, including either qualitative or quantitative methods, and the general education program, as well as offer some core courses in her/his areas of specialization.
