This position reports to the Director of Financial Aid and performs technical processes to support the Office of Financial Aid, and assists in SQL report writing/surveys. POSITION: -Maintains Ellucian Banner financial aid database -Ensure all financial aid upgrades are tested and completed in a timely manner -Train all financial aid staff on Banner functionality -Write reports as needed using Banner system population selections, SQL and Cognos Business Solutions -Electronically download student’s financial aid applications for federal student aid using Ed Connect -Batch Award and disburse financial aid records for all eligible students -Complete yearly reports and applications applying for approval for financial aid for the institution (FISAP and FADC reports) -Work closely with Director and Assistant Directors on creating and maintaining new processes and procedures -Complete all letter generation and email notification to students of missing Information and their financial aid awards -Complete Satisfactory Academic Progress for end of term processing -Run HOPE calculations and Load all GSFAPP applications -Troubleshoot all related Banner issues -Implement processes to use existing technologies to automate financial aid processes -Other duties assigned by Director QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of financial aid experience -Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations -Knowledge of BANNER, SQL, Crystal, SURFER and EdConnect or similar software SALARY AND BENEFITS: The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the budgetary parameters of the college and of the University System of Georgia.
